  1. Third one is kind of sad, but some manuscripts do hit that point I guess.

    1. I always cringe when I see titles like that, but it proved to be a decent article worth a mention.

  2. Yikes...I agree, Alex. I don't want to ever come to that conclusion.

    1. I don't think you have to worry about reaching that conclusion, Mike. :)

  3. Always good links, Jeff. Actually, unlike Alex and Mike, I don't see the demise of an MS as a tragedy, perhaps because I've confronted this very death. A writer friend helping me with an article gave me this great quote: Every death--whether it's the death of a person, a pet, a job or an identity-- starts a process. It was a beginning, not an end.

    1. Thanks, Julie. It is a difficult decision, but there are always multiple ways a situation can be viewed. The best way, in my opinion, is always objectively.

  4. Such a great mix of links today! I especially loved how informative the e-book publishing one was--so much so, I bookmarked it! I also appreciated the article about when to quit pursuing publication. Novel-writing easily became more of a chore than a passion for me over the years, which is why I eventually decided to set it aside. Some have made me feel bad about that decision, but this article just confirms my belief that this was the choice I had to make.

    1. Yeah, I was kind of impressed by that DIY article too. Yeah, when passion becomes chore it feels a lot more like work and there are plenty of jobs out there that pay better. :)

  6. You always have such great links, Jeff. Unfortunately, I always end up finding a new website that I wind up adding to my list to follow; and I already follow too many as it is. Arggg!

    1. Thanks, Ken! It is a conundrum, isn't it? Finding new blogs/sites worth following. I too follow more than I can manage.
