...of DRAGONS!
More than distant landscapes and legendary relics...
More than medieval battles and wicked wizards...
More than castles, moats, armor and shields...
More than even magic itself, I love dragons!
I love them, be they good dragons or bad. Sly, wiley or wise; ancients and hatchlings alike, I love them all. I love their cunning, their power, their mystery and majesty.
Dragons are what I love most about science fiction and fantasy.

Doesn't everyone love dragons! How could anyone not love them? They are epic.

DeleteCould I have a dragon like in Dragonheart? The one that sounded like Sean Connery. . .I liked him better than the nasty ones in 'Reign of Fire'.

DeleteDragons are awesome. My favourite dragon is the one not trying to eat me. Then the one who'd take me on an awesome adventure.
ReplyDeleteYes, you have to pop their snouts when they try to eat your guests. It's part of how to train your dragon.

DeleteI love dragons. Some of the best writing times I ever had was writing a YA fantasy novel about dragons.
ReplyDeleteSome of my favorite parts of my book are those with Rendowin, the alpha dragon.
DeleteDragons are the first things I think of when I hear the word Fantasy, it wouldn't be the same without them!
ReplyDeleteMe too. Someone says, "I wrote a fantasy" book/story, I immediate ask (at least inwardly) "does it have dragons?"

DeleteSorry, I'm not a big sci-fi fan. My husband is. The only thing I really know about dragons is the song - "Puff the Magic Dragon". But I CAN appreciate your love of something, AND the cartoon is funny!

DeleteI'm with you here. Out of all the characters in Game of Thrones I love the Mother of Dragons, the most. Her dragons, are awesome.

DeleteI can't wait to see how Smaug turns out in the Hobbit part 2! Peter Jackson has said that he wants Smaug to be the dragon everyone will think of when they say the word dragon... Pretty bold claim Sir Jackson, bring it on!

DeleteI had to come back to read this post. I did see this picture before, didn't realise you were Sir Jeff the champion dwarf tosser. Like everyone else, I would love to partner with a dragon, Al is the nearest I have come to it. Of course they have to be mind talkers at least so we can converse.

Yes, I am the world class dwarf tossing champion as judged by Father Dragon himself. In a pinch, I'll even grab a dwarf by the beard, but only in a pinch. They're a little sensitive there.
