5 Tax Tips for Authors

Somehow, I kinda suspected most of this: Procrastination Nation

One example of what makes this community great.  And another.  And Elizabeth summed it up nicely here.

What being published has taught me

Maybe one day I can put this advice to good use: Book Signings That WOW

Sara linked to Pixar's 22 Rules of Phenomenal Storytelling on Friday. I've seen it debated in places, but it's definitely worth the read.

  5. Thanks, Jeff. The "What being published has taught me link" is great. This point really stood out: "Ninety per cent of people in the publishing industry are twenty-six years old." Somehow, that doesn't surprise me. :)

    1. Yeah, even our doctors are younger than we are now! LOL It used to be strange. Now, it's just the way it is. Why should publishing be any different, right?

    1. That one had a fairly complete list of things it taught him!

Over the months that I've been doing this, I've tried to select a varied assortment of links each week. Even so, I find myself revisiting certain subjects frequently, even multiple times on the same page. It's always interesting to see which ones garners comments. These past two Sunday Surfing posts have drawn interest in the areas critiquing from several folks. But few areas go unmentioned by anyone at all.

But as long as posts and articles exist that merit linking, I shall do my dead level best to link them each week. I may even "open the floor" to suggestions and recommendations from others for the upcoming Sunday. And should I open that door, I'll announce my decision to do on a blog post. I simply don't have the time to hit enough sites and gauge them all.
