The submissions packet is ready. I'll be supporting the United States Postal Service this morning.
Life should now begin to return to normal. Do not be surprised if you receive comments on posts you published a week or two ago. Jeff has much catching up to do.
On an unrelated note: Grandson #1 graduated from kindergarten last week. Paw Paw had to console the poor, distraught child. I just hope his scars will one day heal.
Congratulations, you little scholar you. |
Yay you for getting that submission packet prepared! I'm sure the US Postal Service will be very grateful for the support. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd aww, your grandson graduated from kindergarten? Congrats to him!
Maybe that $5.40 plus a book of stamps will keep the USPS in business another 13 milliseconds. ;-)
DeleteGood luck on your submission. That's a cute picture of your little grandson. (He doesn't look a bit distraught to me.)
ReplyDeleteDon't let that exuberant smile fool you. He always looks ecstatic when he's distraught. ;-)
DeleteBest of luck with your submission and thanks for sharing this pic of your grandson.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sheena!
DeleteI wish you the best of luck.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I've read that agents/editors prefer FedEx or UPS deliveries. I'm not sure that it's true, but you may want to look into the matter.
Thanks, Patrick. I'll have to look into that. Hadn't heard that.
DeleteSounds like you've been busy, but with worthy things.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck! :D
Thanks, Melissa. Definitely busy. :)
DeleteGood luck on your submissions! ANd congrats to your grandson for graduating!

Thanks! He really loves school--thankfully!
DeleteI hope your submission comes back with a resounding YES Jeff. Kindergarten graduations are so cute.
ReplyDeleteThis was actually the first such graduation I've attended. Graduations before graduating high school came about long after my days of academia. :)
DeleteHis MS should come back with a resounding YES, its a super story. If it doesn't publishers are stupid. But then J.K. Rowling got lots of rejections apparently so what can you expect. However, I have everything crossed for you Jeff and I know the dragon has too.
ReplyDeleteLovely pic of your grandson. Mind you, from what you said, I was expecting a cap and gown.
I'm blushing! But it's true that almost every great author and every great story has been rejected multiple times. They'll probably be doing caps and gowns in a few years. Such is the way things progress these days.
DeleteWay to go Granddad - on all fronts!
ReplyDeleteA big thanks! Life's too good to complain.
DeleteHey Jeff, best of luck with your submission. The hard part is over, now just sit back and wait for the offers to come rolling in :)
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid to sit back too far. If anything other than a form rejection arrives, I might fall off my chair!
DeleteThis is a great day. I did have a glass of wine to celebrate. It was one of the very good things that happened brightened an otherwise difficult week/month. I'm so glad for you. A dragon and 600 dwarves will keep their fingers crossed.
ReplyDelete600*10+20=lots of little digits crossed on my behalf. I am honored and grateful! I'm hoping that internet connection of yours gets restored soon.
DeleteGreetings human, Jeff,
ReplyDeleteDragons and submissions and a "Paw Paw" at his grandson's kindergarten graduation. Very interesting human! :) Congrats and all the best with your submission, human Jeff.
Pawsitive wishes,
Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!
Penny's pawsitive wishes for Paw Paw is pawsitively appreciated! LOL
DeleteGood luck with the submission!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nicole! Now comes the waiting....
DeleteCongratulations on both accomplishments (although one is way cuter than the other). ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, I know, but I'm sure he'll get cuter as he grows up some. ;-)
DeleteGood for you, man! And to your grandson -- my little sister starts Kindergarten herself next school year.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well with your book; good luck!
-Matt
Thanks, Matt! Hope your little sister enjoys it. Thankfully, my grandson loves it!
DeleteGood luck with your submissions! Congrats on your grandson! My sister graduated from high school last week. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cherie! And congratulations to your sister!
DeleteOh good luck with your submissions! I wish I was at the submission stage...uggg sometimes it feels like I'll never get there. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for ya! And congrats to your grandson, don't the grow up so fast?
ReplyDeleteThe day is coming soon, Elise. Of that I have no doubt. You will definitely get there.
DeleteOhhh, the best of luck on your submission. Do people still submit hard copies?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the grandson for graduating kindergarten - next thing you know, he'll be graduating high school!
Thanks, Gwen. I know at least two that do. And yes, those little one grow way too fast.
DeleteYour grandson is so cute! Good luck with your submission :)
ReplyDeleteThanks on both accounts, Carol.
