Challenge Met: Vow Kept

When dragons speak, Jeff listens. When dragons prod, Jeff complies. Or he runs incredibly fast.

The submissions packet is ready. I'll be supporting the United States Postal Service this morning.

Life should now begin to return to normal. Do not be surprised if you receive comments on posts you published a week or two ago. Jeff has much catching up to do.

On an unrelated note: Grandson #1 graduated from kindergarten last week. Paw Paw had to console the poor, distraught child. I just hope his scars will one day heal.

Congratulations, you little scholar you.

    1. Maybe that $5.40 plus a book of stamps will keep the USPS in business another 13 milliseconds. ;-)

  2. Good luck on your submission. That's a cute picture of your little grandson. (He doesn't look a bit distraught to me.)

    1. Don't let that exuberant smile fool you. He always looks ecstatic when he's distraught. ;-)

  4. I wish you the best of luck.

On another note, I've read that agents/editors prefer FedEx or UPS deliveries. I'm not sure that it's true, but you may want to look into the matter.

    1. This was actually the first such graduation I've attended. Graduations before graduating high school came about long after my days of academia. :)

  8. His MS should come back with a resounding YES, its a super story. If it doesn't publishers are stupid. But then J.K. Rowling got lots of rejections apparently so what can you expect. However, I have everything crossed for you Jeff and I know the dragon has too.

Lovely pic of your grandson. Mind you, from what you said, I was expecting a cap and gown.

    1. I'm blushing! But it's true that almost every great author and every great story has been rejected multiple times. They'll probably be doing caps and gowns in a few years. Such is the way things progress these days.

    1. I'm afraid to sit back too far. If anything other than a form rejection arrives, I might fall off my chair!

  11. This is a great day. I did have a glass of wine to celebrate. It was one of the very good things that happened brightened an otherwise difficult week/month. I'm so glad for you. A dragon and 600 dwarves will keep their fingers crossed.
